I was very fortunate one late summer evening in eastern Colorado to witness this beautiful cloud building up over the very dry location. Just after sunset it dropped large amounts of the much needed rain onto this very dry area. The windmill and stock were much farther off in the distance but I wanted these pieces of history to become a more interesting part on my painting.
