My favorite time of year and subject matter to paint is the magnificent Aspen trees in the fall season. The vibrant colors and aroma of the leaves in their defoliation process are intoxicating to me each year. Each season of change for these beautiful trees is to be enjoyed, but the fall is simply magical to paint, especially en plein air, while immersing myself in their environment.
